<description>Ubud is really a magic place to stay! I was there last summer with my wife and we had one of the best holyday of ever.

Starting from the main street, there is a secondary street uphill paved with blocks of cement, on each of them people have left their signature, messages, etc. On top of this street (going up, on your left) there is an accomodation quoted also on the lonely planet guide (only two rooms). The man organises tours in the nearby. Go there and do the 1-day tour to the rice fields + vulcan. The amazing part is the return by bike through villages. The way back from the vulcan to Ubud is 95% downhill road, so easy to do by bike. This is unique because you pass through &quot;original&quot; villages and you can see the countryside as it was before occidentals start building resorts and hotels. A trip in the wild and original bali. Something to try.
